I had a hard time writing about us. We live it... I live it. It's tough, everyday. In 2001, I married the woman that God gave me. We were an instant blended family. We had 4 more sons together. Yes, 4 more sons. I have 5 sons total. They're currently 23, 15, 14, 12, and 10. We were supposed to have had more, but... Thats a story for another About page. My wife was diagnosed with cancer in 2012 and was dead 11 months later.
RZNGMEN came from a conversation between my late wife and I. She talked about how we were raising so many boys. I replied, "We're not raising boys. We're raising men." Shortly after, she ordered personalized plates for our SUV that became our mantra ever since. Even after having to replace that SUV, all of my sons asked what was gonna happen to the plates. They made sure I wouldn't get rid of them. I wouldn't. I couldn't.
The RZNGMEN Show began as an outcry of my pain and confusion about being a widowed, single parent of 5. There weren't many role models that I found that could help me understand the challenges ahead. I didn't want that to happen to any other man. I had to tell our story. My story.
